Dear Morse families,

During this time, Morse counselors want students and family's to practice self-care which includes: Taking breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and avoid alcohol and drugs. Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy; and connect with others (virtually). Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, please contact 911 immediately!

Also, your counselors are here to support you during this difficult time. We have created a Google form you can use to check in with us. This is a VOLUNTARY form. Feel free to use this form if you have something specific to talk to us about or just to let us know how you are doing. You can indicate on the form if you would like a counselor to follow up with you. Please note, you must be logged into your sandi.net Google account to see the form. Form responses will be monitored Monday through Friday during school hours. Responses received over the weekend will be handled Monday. https://tinyurl.com/MorseCounselorCheckIn.

Senior students and parents, we know that you may have many questions regarding credits, college, GPA, graduation, Grad Night, etc. At this time we have no concrete answers but please know that we value your concerns; every senior class all over America share the same concerns. The nation as a whole will come up with a plan and what we are going to do to make sure your goals and future are supported. When we know, you will know.

Any information counselors receive we will send it out to students via Naviance. Please ensure that you have your email correct (in Naviance), so that you will receive information in a timely manner, you may want to check with your friends to ensure that they also have their information correct.

Don't forget to wash your hands with soap frequently, cover your cough, and take care of one another,

Mrs. Brogan, Mrs. Flint, Ms. Mullaney, Ms. Ward and Mr. Wegener
