Morse 2021 Graduation Update

Morse Class of 2021 Graduation Update
Posted on 04/14/2021

Hello Morse families. I hope all is well with you.

Last night, the SDUSD approved an in-person graduation ceremony for the graduating Class of 2021 at Petco Park! This is excellent news considering the graduating Class of 2020 did not have an in-person graduation due to the pandemic.

District high schools are NOT allowed to a graduation ceremony on our campus. Petco Park is the only local outdoor venue with the capacity to accommodate district graduation dates and that can comply with the guidelines and recommendations issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and The California Department of Public Health in a safe capacity due to COVD-19.

Morse High School Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony

Where: Petco Park

When: Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Please note that Morse did not choose our graduation day and time. I know it is a bit early, but honestly, I am just happy that we get to honor and celebrate our graduates with an IN-PERSON ceremony.

How many family members can attend? FOUR family members can attend (I do not know if kids under a certain age can enter without a ticket. I will find out.)

Will the graduation be live-streamed? Yes. The ceremony will be live-streamed. I will share this information once it is available.

Will families have to pay for parking? If families choose to drive to Petco Park and park in nearby parking lots, there is a cost for parking. Parking on the street is free on Sundays. There is also the option of taking the trolley.

I am sure you all may have additional questions about our Petco Park graduation ceremony. Click on the link below for more information:

For now, this is all the information I have. I will keep you all updated once I learn more important details.

Looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of months!
