Security

The San Diego Unified School District has its own police department. Its officers are empowered under section 832 of the California Penal Code as sworn peace officers to provide a safe and secure learning environment for students.

Morse High School has a full time peace officer with a staff of four (4) security supervisors. With the assistance of the security supervisors, the school police officer protects life and property, investigates criminal acts, enforces applicable laws and assists school administrators with problem solving.

The school police also provides liaison among the San Diego Police Department's School Task Force, the county probation department, County Social Services and other concerned public agencies.
